Since 2000 OPSEU and Trent have used a new tool to evaluate jobs, the purpose of which is to place a relative value on jobs within the OPSEU bargaining unit, and form a basis for fair and equitable pay.

Here will be posted information about the OPSEU Job Evaluation Process and Tool (soon, I promise!).

In the meantime, here are some sources of information:

• Job Evaluation Resources (Trent Human Resources website)
  This site provides a lot of information about the process and tool, including an orientation to job evaluation, job evaluation procedures, tips for completing a job evaluation submission, an FAQ, and a tool kit containing the job evaluation manual, a sample submission, factor weightings and range of points per band.

  In our latest agreement you will find some useful information regarding job evaluation, such as section 17.3 and 17.4 (Job Classification- Joint Job Evaluation System, and Joint Job Evaluation Committee
